Sabrina Azul (born December 16, 1997) is an Argentine artist who works with audiovisual and photographic language from an expansive perspective.

Between 2016 and 2020, she studied Lighting and Cinematography at the Universidad del Cine, where she participated in multiple short films within the areas of photography and art direction.

In 2016 and 2018, she won the university’s award for Best Screenplay, which allowed her to direct two short films, Enero 2002 and Plata-sur, shot on 16mm film, using documentary material and multiple recording formats.

In 2022, she participated in Stefanie Wolf’s Narrative Photography workshop, where she had the privilege of winning the National Arts Fund competition.

Through her varied and diverse training, Sabrina Azul creates images and settings that transcend expectations. Her exploration is driven not only by her technical knowledge in photography and cinema but also by her engagement with dance, writing, and clowning, which serve as catalysts and forms of coexistence.

Depending on the unique demands of each project, her vision delves into the totality of expression. Through her openness to language, her works are constructed with sensibilities that go beyond the univocal.

She currently lives in Los Angeles, working as a producer coordinator and director’s assistant, while continuing to develop her own personal projects.
